WE HELP TELL YOUR STORY.
Arkansas born and raised, Trent grew up in the outdoors with constant outings with his father. These early trips inspired a great affinity for the outdoors and the beautiful surprises Arkansas has to offer. Photography for Trent started in High School and grew even more in his college career, evolving into a way to share the beautiful places he and his friends had experienced. Trent would later put his degree on hold and truly immerse himself in photography and turn a passion into a career. Later meeting Daniel, they knew with such similar interests and passions they could create something magical.
Although a native Arkansan, Daniel spent the first decade of his life living in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Weekend trips to the mountains, museums, and art exhibitions ignited his passion for creativity at an early age. Upon returning back to Arkansas, he spent the remainder of his childhood exploring the Ouachita Mountains surrounding the town of Hot Springs. Daniel began his journey in photography and video making as a freshman in high school. He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR where he would later meet Trent.
A first generation American, Alex was born to parents who immigrated from Japan, his mother, and Poland, his father. He was exposed to travel and culture as soon as he was able to walk. Their adventurous spirit and open-mindedness carried over to Alex, who now loves to capture new experiences through his passion for writing and photography. Alex met the BLK ELK Media team while attending school at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville for Journalism when he was looking for unconventional work to full fill a school credit. He quickly found that similar goals and passions were shared, joined the team a year later, and the new adventures began.
Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, Ian grew up with a father who was constantly taking photos of his family's adventures. In high school, he received his first DSLR, and met Trent; they shared a love for photography, outdoors, and cars through the years. He studied journalism at the University of Central Arkansas for two years, and worked for the Arkansas Air National Guard as a photojournalist for 6 years. He recently left the Air Guard to pursue his photography and has since jumped on board with Trent and Daniel as a member of Blk Elk Media.
